Canaan Baptist Church was established on Oct.16 1977 as an Independent Baptist Church for the outreach of lost souls in the Sardis community. Our main goal is to spread the gospel, at home and abroad with the help of missionaries on foriegn fields and in the states. We combine Faith, Family, Friendship and Fellowship. Canaan is full of warm caring people who are devoted to exemplifying the love of Christ. We welcome everyone to come be with us and be a part of a growing church. There are many ministries you can be a part of.
At Canaan we follow the old-fashioned principles and values. We believe in salvation by grace through faith not of works. Eph 2:8-10. We believe and preach from the King James Bible and live by the precepts taught within its pages. Our goal is to glorfiy our Lord and Saviour by helping one another in love and living a spirit filled life before others.
